Yashasvi Jaiswal Joins the Elite List along side Virat Kohli
India's young wave, rising star opener Yashaswi Jaiswal is cementing a unique place for himself in international cricket.
He has played only 7 Test matches and Challenging the Bazball bravely in the ongoing Test series with England.
He scored 214* in the 2nd innings of the 3rd Test match and became the 3rd Indian in the history of Test cricket to score a double century in two consecutive Test matches after Vinod Kambli (224 vs Eng at Mumbai WS & 227 vs Zim at Delhi (1992/1993)), Virat Kohli (213 vs SL at Nagpur & 243 vs SL at Delhi (2017/2018)). Moreover, he wrote his name in the history pages as the youngest player to score 500+ runs for India in a Test series.
He has already scored 2 double centuries, a 150+, and 2 half-centuries in his Test cricket career of just 13* innings. Moreover, by scoring a double century in the 2nd innings of the 3rd Test match against England, he became the first Indian to score more than 150 runs in his first 3 centuries in the history of international Test cricket. If we look at the total, while in the 2nd position, he achieved this feat in just 13* innings and surpassed Sir Don Bradman's 15 innings.
Meanwhile, Yashasvi jaiswal equaled the record held by Pakistan All-rounder Wasim Akram for most sixes (12) in an innings in Test cricket. He became the second player to hit most sixes in a Test match. Team India captain Rohit Sharma is at the first position with 13 sixes.
